JJ_siteJeff is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. He practices Acupuncture, Herbology, Nutrition, Tui-Na, Polarity Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy and Jin Shin Jyutsu. He is also a student of various other forms of healing and therapy, including Ayurvedic Medicine, Tibetan Medicine, Visceral Manipulation, Deep
Tissue Therapy and classical Osteopathy.

Dr. Jacob graduated University of Florida in Gainesville where he earned a Bachelor’s degree. He also graduated of the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico earning a Master’s degree and a Doctorate from the State of New Mexico. His originally work focused on pain management and utilizing Acupuncture, Herbology and Therapy for the treatment of spinal issues. He was the clinical director of The New York Center for Pain Management, a multidisciplinary medical clinic in New York City that incorporated western medicine, physical therapy, with manual therapy and Eastern Medicine.

Jeff has studied medicine and healing throughout the world. He studied with David Pomerantz, Vasant Lad, Stylianos Atteshlis (Daskalos) in Cyprus. He studied Polarity Therapy with Gary Strauss and John Beaulieu. Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation through the Upledger Institute. Chinese Medicine with Kezhuang
Zhao, John Shen, Jeffrey Yuen, Lonny Jarrett, Stuart Watts. Dr. John Shen was one of the fathers of Chinese Medicine on the United States, with an expertise in pulse evaluation and herbology. Jeffrey Yuen is an 88th generation Taoist Priest and Dean at The Swedish Institute. Jeff had additional experience working with Dr. Cissy Majebe in North Carolina with infertility and woman’s heath. He has spent many years providing care for patients struggling with infertility He is also the creator and founder of Healthy Tao Center for Well Being in New York City.

In addition to practicing for over 20 years, Jeff has taught throughout the United States, Japan, China and Brazil. He had previously been a Professor at Swedish Institute College of Acupuncture and Columbia University. He is the author of “The Acupuncturists Clinical Handbook”, along with numerous articles and contributions.

He presently lives in Westchester, New York and practices in both Westchester and Manhattan.
