Head and shoulder massageCraniosacral Therapy is a therapy where the practitioner gently touches the cranium (head), spine and sacrum (inverted triangular bone at the bottom of the spine).

Cranial sacral therapy or Cranial Osteopathy was originated by William Sutherland around 1900. Dr. Sutherland found that the bones of the skull moved and that the dural membranes that connect these bones hold tension. In addition he found that the sacrum, at the bottom of the spine moved synchronistic ally with the skull. Through subtle pressure in the appropriate way, Dr. Sutherland found that cerebral spinal fluid would increase movement and great health.  Although originally a Osteopathic technique, the system is now practiced by a variety of health care professionals.

Cranial Sacral Therapy can help neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ, chronic pain syndromes, fibromyalgia, mental and emotional stresses, neurological issues.

Jeffrey Jacob has been trained in Cranial Sacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. Dr. John Upledger is one of the leading Cranial Sacral physicians in the world.  Dr. Jacob integrates the therapy into all his treatments, in addition you can request a treatment where only Cranial Sacral Therapy is administered.
